Utility Operations and BBI Bargaining report #19

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Although we have not been putting out daily bargaining reports we have been working to get you a good contract. We have teamed up with the Common Interest Table to work on wages and benefits.

Yesterday we met with the company and had an off-the-record meeting. Because we are so far apart on wages and benefits, we wanted to have a frank conversation to find out what it is about our proposals that’s stopping the company from agreeing with our proposals and getting us a fair and equitable contract. We have other issues that are being discussed but our current focus is the wages and benefits.

Trust that we are doing our best to bring you a contract that you will be able to ratify. We will continue to work on the issues that affect Utility Operations only while trying to get closer to the wages and benefits that our members deserve.
