Local 3140 Partnered with TWU and MIAA Management to raise $47,00 for a great cause and had  great time doing so.
After twenty-six (26) years of dedicated service to our Union, Beverly Chatterson, our Secretary in District 3's South Florida Office will be retiring on 07/15/2021. She will be greatly missed but we wish her all the best in her retirement.
Local 3509 celebrates the passing of the Call Center Bill in Mississippi
Local 3204 hosted the MLK March Committee meetings this year as we have done for over the past ten years. Members of our Executive Board and stewards joined the committee and help plan and coordinate the March and Rally. Our members and there families joined with other Unions and marched thru the streets of downtown Atlanta to the King Center. Our Metro Atlanta Rapid Transportation Authority (MARTA) provided us with a bus to transport members to and from the March.
The North Carolina Local Presidents presented Harold Black and Grant Welch an award, recognizing them for their devotion and dedication to CWA’s National and State Legislative/Political Programs.
Virginia Chesney’s 100th birthday isn’t until November, but the former telephone operators’ annual reunion is always in July at CWA Local 3805 in Knoxville Tennessee, so she and her old colleagues celebrated a little early. Chesney, who retired from the Bell system as group chief operator of information services, moved to Knoxville in 1947 after starting her switchboard career in Lexington Tennessee when she was 18 years old.
CWA Local 3640 Representing American Airlines Reservations Agents in Winston Salem, NC attended the District 3 Conference in Savannah, GA. February 24-27, 2019.We were given the opportunity to say our farewells to John Quinn, District 3 Counsel. He will be retiring but promised us he would bring his bagpipes back!!
