UPAGRA Triumphs - TNG-CWA Local 33225

Ortega, Vice President UPAGRA.  El 23 de septiembre pasado recibimos en nuestra sede, en Puerto Nuevo, la visita de la compañera Judith Dennis, Vicepresidenta del Distrito 3 de la Communications Workers of America, al cual pertenece la UPAGRA. 

 

Vice President Judy Dennis recently attended an ATT mobility meeting in Puerto Rico and while there visited TNG-CWA Local 33225 and went to the picket lines where members of TNG –CWA Local 33225 are striking against El Vocero.  More information on the recent NLRB Decision against El Vocero can be found below.

Hola a todos Durante esta semana recibimos la decisión del Juez Administrativo de la JNRT que vió el caso contra El Vocero. En la misma confirma todas nuestras alegaciones contra este patrono y sus empresas El Vocero y News Distributor.   Esta es una gran victoria para nosotros, para TNG y CWA. Sabemos que esto todavía no termina porque el patrono tiene derecho a apelar la decisión, pero no hay duda que es un gran paso de avance en esta lucha, que no hubiera sido posible sin el respaldo, ayuda y solidaridad de todos ustedes, por lo que una vez más les expresamos nuestro agradecimiento.   Adjunto copia de la decisión, de Comunicado de Prensa nuestro, carta al Secretario del Trabajo de Puerto Rico y de carta que circuló el señor Miguel Roca a los empleados de El Vocero donde les indica que se propone acudir a todos los foros disponibles para apelar la decisión.   Esta lucha no ha terminado, pero estamos CELEBRANDO UN GRAN TRIUNFO.   Gracias, Néstor Nota:  Vea al final del documento para los enlaces

Hi friends

During this week we received the decision of the NLRB Administrative Law Judge who saw the case against El Vocero. At the same confirms all our claims against this employer and its businesses El Vocero and News Distributor.   (See below for documents and copy of UPAGRA October 2010 Publication)

This is a great victory for us, for TNG and CWA. We know this is not finished because the employer has the right to appeal the decision, but we dont have any doubt it is a great step forward in this struggle, which would not have been possible without the support, help and solidarity from all of you, so Once again we express our thanks.

Enclosed is a copy of the decision, our press release, letter to Secretary of Labor of Puerto Rico and the letter that Mr. Miguel Roca circulated to employees of El Vocero where they stated that it would go to all the forums available to appeal the decision.

This fight is not over, but WE CELEBRATE A GREAT TRIUMPH.
