CWA D3 PR-AT&T MOBILITY BARGAINING REPORT #13

ENGLISH VERSION

Dear sisters and brothers:

The Company and your CWA Bargaining Team met today. The Union presented a proposal for a  New Letter of Agreement to handle Subcontracting issues thru a specialized Subcontracting Committee.  In addition, the Union submitted a Second Comprehensive Package Proposal that was submitted and will cover most of the demands of our membership, and at the same time be able to maintain the benefits acquired during the struggles and efforts of our members. 

In the afternoon, the Company rejected our Proposal Package and then submitted a new Company Proposal Package.  This is yet another brainless way to present us with an alternative option that is equally nefarious, exasperating and derogatory that only tries to snatch and degrade the benefits already protected by the previous agreements.  But, thanks to our members mobilization, the gap between the parties has diminished.  We are still far apart but closer than yesterday. 

Let's continue demonstrating to the company that the LOCAL 3010 DOES NOT SURRENDER. Many thanks to those who continue to show management what solidarity looks like, especially the Network Operations Center (NOC) who applauded for 1 minute, in solidarity for the Bargaining Team! Thank you all. SOLIDARITY IN ACTION!

Queridos hermanas y hermanos:

La Compañía y su Equipo de Negociación de CWA se reunieron hoy. La Union presentó una propuesta para una nueva Carta de Acuerdo para atender asuntos de subcontratación específicamente por medio de un comité especializado. Además, se propuso un paquete de propuestas comprensivas que cubren la mayoría de las exigencias de nuestra membrecía y a su vez poder mantener los beneficios adquiridos durante luchas y esfuerzos de nuestros miembros.

 
Sin embargo, nuestra Propuesta Comprensiva fue rechazada por la compañía en la tarde.  Luego, la Compañía de una forma descerebrada presentó otro nefasto, exasperante y degradante paquete de propuestas que únicamente intentan arrebatar los beneficios ya protegidos por los convenios anteriores.  Empero, gracias a la movilización de nuestros miembros, la brecha entre ambas partes ha comenzado a disminuir.  Estamos lejos de un acuerdo, pero más cerca que ayer.  

Sigamos demostrándole a la compañía que la LOCAL 3010 NO SE RINDE. ¡Muchas gracias a los que continúan mostrando a la gerencia cómo se ve la solidaridad especialmente al grupo de Network Operations Center ( NOC) que aplaudieron por 1 minuto, mostrando solidaridad al Equipo de Negociación de CWA! Gracias a todos. ¡SOLIDARIDAD EN ACCIÓN!
