District 3 Political Agenda for Upcoming Mid-Terms

CWA District 3 has embarked on a political agenda funded by a Strategic Industry Fund, to energize our members to become activists in the upcoming Mid-Term Elections.  As most of you are aware, the projected results of this election will have a negative impact on working families.  In order to be successful we were able to have some political activists released fulltime to work on targeted races throughout the District.  These Electoral Activists will set up Local Political Activist Teams (LPAT's), work on targeted races, and cultivate COPE contributions throughout the District.  To that end I ask each Local to have a point person in every Local participate in the current COPE drive/contest which will run through the end of October.  For each new contribution of $1 per week or an increase of $1 per week the name of the member will be eligible for a drawing for a trip for two (2) to Las Vegas and will receive a COPE T-Shirt along with any other gift for which contribution qualifies them.
