CWA District 3 - 4th Annual Woman of the Year
The Women’s Committee held its 4th annual Woman of the Year Contest where Locals nominated women who exemplify the values of CWA in their Local and community. This year’s winner is Cheryl Comeau of Local 3101 in Cocoa, Fl. Cheryl has been a CWA member of Local 3101 since 1965 and has served as Secretary of Local 3101 since 1972 under 5 Presidents. Cheryl is active in the AFL-CIO; she screens politicians soliciting Union support. In addition, she volunteers her time with the Working Families Lobby Corp as well as volunteering with multiple community outreach programs through her church. Cheryl was presented with gifts and a plaque and was recognized for her tireless efforts and contributions to her Local and community.
