Your Bargaining Committee met with the company representatives Tuesday morning to continue discussions.
The Union passed bargaining proposals to clarify or improve language in Article 2 - Recognition, improve language; Article 3 - Classification Of Employees, reduce probation time option; Article 7- Grievance Procedure, improve language to receive timely answers from company, and increase Grievance procedure time lines to appeal; Article 11 - Seniority, strengthen language and Article 12 - Hours of Work, reduce scheduling time from 6 days to 5. After each proposal we explained the need for the change and the company responded with questions. They said they would look at the proposals and get back to us with a response or request for clarification.
We recessed for the day to continue to work on additional proposals and review some of the company responses to prior data requests.
Bargaining reports will be posted every day after we meet, or the next morning, depending on the time we conclude.
The contract expires Friday February 18th.
