2015 CWA ATT SE Bargaining Report #20

Your bargaining team met at the main table today.  We agreed on some clean up language and countered several company proposals.  We presented that Service Representatives in Home Solutions and Small Business be allowed to upgrade, VOLUNTARILY, to Sales Associates with expanded performance protection.  We also presented improvements to Articles 7 and 12.  We insisted that gutting Article 14 is unacceptable and presented a proposal to expand it.  Finally, we proposed that Wire Technicians be brought into the Core contract as a wage scale 20 with a negotiated Job Description.

The company rejected improvements for the Field Service Techs, truing up wage scales during a temporary transfer, placing a cap on vendors for call center jobs, and quota relief for Sales Consultants.  The company is not interested in removing qualifiers, posting objectives in a timely manner or paying on the revised scorecard in the Consumer Organization.  The company is however interested in decreasing Sales Associate and Sales Consultant pay by approximately 7% by making them a 40 hour employees.

Brothers and Sisters, now is the time to push this through.  Now is the time to take control of this contract.  Now is the time to take our struggle to the wall.  Now is the time to prove that WE are the primary reason this company continues to be lucrative.  Now is the time to show management that WE have the authority.

Your team is cohesive and strong.  We understand that we represent one of the most amalgamated and detailed workforces in the USA.  Just as your team exacerbated the company’s team today, we need you to participate and increase your activities to show the company that we mean business.

Special thanks to Local 3611 in Raleigh, NC for providing the outstanding lunch today.
