2015 CWA ATT SE Bargaining Report #22

Your bargaining team met with the company today.  The company rejected language protecting breaks during partial sessions and increase in pay for Sales Consultants and Sales Associates.  The company isn’t interested in expanding Article 14 however; they are interested in contracting out removal of lead cable, pulling cable in inner duct, prewire work and pole transfers.  The company rejected expanding avenues for safety and environmental concerns and rejected a proposal that would protect employees during a state of emergency.  The company seems intent on obstructing improvements for the Wire Technicians.

We have made some progress due largely to your efforts.  We must continue to press the company to make appropriate decisions regarding their employees and employee’s families.  We made it clear that we are aware of the directTV deal and intend on including it in negotiations.  An elephantine company such as this should be more than willing to contribute to the employees who continue to work enabling this company to make billions in profits

Gelastic:  laughable, subject to laughter

Special thanks to the retirees from Local 3808 and APTC College for the homemade goodies and wonderful baskets.
