2015 CWA ATT SE Bargaining Report #23
Your bargaining team met with the company today. The company rejected proposals that would improve language around penalty pay for scheduling and a guaranteed number of weekends off. They also rejected proposals around connecting overtime, service requirements and polling before forcing overtime.
We are not interested in retrogressive and multi-tiered language around paid time off due to illness. We rejected the company’s proposal to contract out some construction and business services and infrastructure work. We also rejected the company’s proposal to eliminate termination pay when an employee becomes unable or unadaptable to perform their job duties.
The union made it indubitably clear to the company that we will not starve on crumbs from the table of prosperity from which the company dines. It is imperative that we continue to be vocal in our workplace, continue to mobilize and think outside the box. Thank you for your continued support.
