2015 CWA ATT SE Bargaining Report #26

The bargaining team met today at the main table where the company presented a number of counter proposals to several of our proposals.  We are caucusing among ourselves and have scheduled a meeting with the company to respond.

The Local Presidents were given an update by Vice President Honeycutt on our progress this afternoon.

With contract expiration fast approaching it is clear that AT&T may be hearing you BUT are not really listening.  You need to tell them loudly that we deserve a share of the multi-billion dollar earnings; that Wire Techs deserve a guaranteed 40 hour work week in addition to being treated with dignity and respect; Call Center workers need relief from unrealistic quotas and a draconian management style; and finally that the retirees deserve relief on healthcare.

The strike authorization vote results are in and you have overwhelmingly given President Shelton the authority to authorize a strike should we reach that point.

Wear BLUE on Monday, and participate in mobilization activities leading up to the contract expiration.

Your team deeply appreciates the generous gifts of praline candy from Local 3410 in New Orleans.
