2015 CWA Print Media Bargaining Report #12

The Bargaining Committee met with the company today and the Company presented a revised proposal to change Article 5.01 Authorized Holidays. The Company would like to designate 10 holidays in the calendar year and eliminate optional holidays. The Company also submitted a revised proposal to change language to Article 4.06 Compensatory Overtime. The Bargaining Committee will discuss both of these revised proposals in depth and weigh each of them on its own merits. The Bargaining Committee presented the Company with a proposal to bring back the Continuous Improvement Council – Tony Maronski and Angelia Sweatt have had discussions regarding this issue – it has been decided to have both of them present a joint recommendation to the Bargaining Team.

The next meeting with the Company is scheduled for Wednesday October 7, 2015.
