2015 CWA Print Media Bargaining Report #13 - Wednesday October 7th.
The Bargaining Committee met with the Company today (Wednesday) and the Company presented a draft of the proposed Performance Management Plan. It is mutually understood that your Bargaining Committee will not bargain performance management plan however we were interested in understanding how the plan was designed, how it will be administered and how the results would be interpreted. It is the Company’s intention to evaluate bargained employees in a similar manner as they currently do for management and non-bargained employees.
The Company also presented yet another visual on how they would utilize performance before seniority in determining candidates for any anticipated surpluses.
The next meeting with the Company is scheduled for Thursday October 8, 2015.
