2015 CWA Print Media Bargaining Report #18
The Bargaining Committee met with the Company today (November 11th) and the Company agreed to withdraw proposals pertaining to changes in language regarding Vacations, Vacation Treatment for Employees Leaving the Service, Absences Excused with Pay, Sickness Payments Prior to Eligibility under STD, Suspensions and Discharges, Promotions, Transfers, Job Vacancies and Places of Reporting, Job Descriptions Titles and Classifications, Pensions and Benefits Payroll Dues Deductions, and Compensatory Overtime.
The Bargaining Committee and the Company are now turning their focus on Wage increase for the next contract period.
The next meeting with the Company is scheduled for Thursday November 12, 2015.
