2015 CWA Print Media Bargaining Report # 5
Your Bargaining Committee met with the Company today and tentatively agreed to remove language from the contract pertaining to Daily Advertising Sales Representatives. We submitted proposals to change language in Article 5.0 regarding vacations, Article 6 to allow new hires to accrue PPT beginning on day one, Article 17 to allow Union Officers and employees access to Company locations, Article 18 to revise language pertaining to personnel record entries and the continuation of the Special Christmas Days from the 2012 bargaining session.
The Company started discussions regarding Article 7 (Force Adjustments) and the current language. The Company has proposed to present revisions to the article based on current technological needs of the company and your Bargaining Committee has agreed to review the revisions when provided.
The next meeting with the Company is scheduled for August 12th.
