2015 CWA Print Media LLC Bargaining Report #1
July 21, 2015 - Today your Bargaining Committee met with representatives from Print Media LLC. Opening statements were delivered by both sides, representing CWA was District 3 Vice-President Richard Honeycutt who clearly delivered a message to the Company that it is not the Union’s intention to “give” anymore and that the Company should and must negotiate a fair and equitable contract that takes into consideration the concessions that were made during the 2012 bargaining session and the contributions of our members that contributed to the success of the company.
The Company presented proposals that primarily addressed articles and language that in the Company’s opinion are either outdated or no longer applicable to the current state of the business.
Your Bargaining Committee is prepared to evaluate each of these proposals on their own merit and determine if they are still viable or applicable to our members before responding to the Company.
