The new contract includes substantial raises to base wages with adjustments for inflation, upgraded job titles, maintains existing pension plan and health care benefits, added a Paid Holiday, and Extended the Employee Service Commitment and the Voluntary Recognition Agreements. Building on gains from the previous contract, the new agreement also includes an increase in the severance payment and the Christmas bonus.
“When working people join together in unions they have the power to protect their jobs and strengthen their communities,” said CWA Local 3010 President Aramis Cruz. “This contract ensures that will keep family-supporting jobs with fair compensation and good benefits in Puerto Rico.”
We are thankful for all of the workers and bargaining members, Gisenia Acosta and Armando Perez, whose vision and drive have made this a reality,” added Cruz.
