CWA D3 PR-AT&T MOBILITY BARGAINING REPORT #36

Dear sisters and brothers:

Your CWA Bargaining Committee flew to Dallas yesterday to meet today and prepare for bargaining.  While we did not meet with the Company today, the Bargaining Team spent the day analyzing the data received and formulating new proposals, with the little answers we have received from AT&T.  We are still wondering, what is AT&T hiding?  Why are they not providing the much-needed data that will aid your Union in formulating proposals?  We are scheduled to reconvene with the Company tomorrow in the morning at the AT&T Headquarters. Don’t forget that your Bargaining team is here to improve this contract, and we will not leave until we accomplish our goal. 

We also want to reiterate that there should be no changes to our terms and conditions of employment while we are still bargaining the contract and working under the provisions of the expired agreement. The best defense against these changes is the information we receive from the members on the job. Please remain vigilant and report to your local any changes the company attempts to make during bargaining.

Let’s show the company we are serious about our contract!  Get involved and contact your union steward, your Local leadership and your CWA bargaining committee if you have questions.  Remember we are visiting each location and are available to answer each and all of your questions.

Queridos hermanos y hermanas:

Su Comité Negociador de CWA llegó a Dallas ayer para reunirse hoy y prepararse para la negociación.  Si bien no nos reunimos con la Compañía hoy, su equipo de negociación de CWA pasó el día analizando los pocos datos recibidos por AT&T y formulando nuevas propuestas. Todavía nos estamos preguntando, ¿qué está ocultando AT&T? ¿Por qué no proporcionan los datos tan necesarios que ayudarán a su Unión a formular propuestas? Estamos programados para volver a reunirnos con la Compañía mañana por la mañana en la sede de AT&T. No olvide que su equipo de negociación está aquí para mejorar este Convenio y no nos iremos hasta que logremos nuestro objetivo.

También queremos reiterar que no debe haber cambios en los términos y condiciones de empleo mientras todavía estamos negociando el contrato y trabajando bajo las disposiciones del acuerdo vencido. La mejor defensa contra cualquier cambio es la información que recibimos de los miembros en el área trabajo. Manténgase alerta e informe a sus delegados, activistas u oficiales sobre cualquier cambio que la empresa intente realizar durante la negociación.  

Participa y actívate, comuníquese con su representante sindical, el liderato de la local y su comité negociador de CWA si tienes preguntas.
