CWA D3 ATT SE UTILITIES Bargaining Report 1
Your Utilities Bargaining committee met today with AT&T Company representatives and each Chair gave opening remarks prior to start of bargaining. The company presented three proposals, one cleaning up language due to entity name changes. Others were related to vacation accrual, and temporary workers.
Your bargaining team presented proposals on retention of letters and MOUs in the contract, increases in uniform and footwear allowances, layoff allowances, and personal paid days.
The company responded that these items increased the cost of doing business but they would consider and respond later.
The Union assured the Company that our proposals would have minimal impact on their bottom line and easily affordable by the Company if they would eliminate the use of contractors.
We are scheduled to meet tomorrow morning for further discussions.
