CWA DISTRICT 3/ATT MOBILITY BARGAINING - REPORT #7

REPORT FOR FEBRUARY 4, 2014

Your Bargaining committee met with AT&T Company representatives this morning to continue bargaining discussions.

The Union passed a revised proposal on subcontracting as well as a data request for all contractor and vendor locations, the type of work they perform and the hours they work. We also passed a counter proposal in response to the company’s counter on various Article 19 Union proposals.

The Union then rejected the company’s latest retrogressive pension proposal. We then had discussion around the Union proposals on the Commission Plan, Management rights and waiver of bargaining the company keeps rejecting. After much discussion, the Union and the company reviewed the list of proposals that were rejected and are still open as well as those awaiting company responses.

We recessed to review outstanding issues and to prepare responses and or new proposals.

We reconvened late this afternoon to continue discussions.

The Union passed a new proposal on Union time and attendance award programs. We tentatively agreed to the company’s counter proposal on Article 21 regarding Funerals and to the company’s counter proposal on Uniforms at the Memphis Distribution Center (MDC).

The company rejected our proposals on 4 day work week, tour bids, and Subcontracting. They passed a revised proposal on Article 22 - Vacations.

We recessed for the day to continue developing proposals as well as preparing responses to the company proposals.

We are scheduled to meet again tomorrow afternoon.

We want to thank Local 3511 for the basket of “goodies” they sent to the bargaining team!!!
