CWA District 6 - Mobility Bargaining - Tentative Agreement
The CWA Committee and the Company Committee met on Saturday, March 3, 2012, and continued working through the night. On Sunday, March 4, the Union Committee continued negotiations with the Company and reached a tentative agreement. Listed below are some of the details of the tentative agreement:
- $1000 Ratification payout
- Wage increases for 2012 of 2.00%, for 2013 of 2.50%, for 2014 of 2.25% and for 2015 of 2.50%
- Change 15 step wage table to 13 steps
- No regressive changes to Short Term Disability Plan
- No regressive changes to the pension plans
- Addition of a minimum of 2000 job requisitions during the life of this agreement
- Creation of six new job titles that includes upgrades for more than 500 employees to those titles
- Creation of a transfer plan that includes movement between Mobility and CORE
- Improvements to Article 7, Grievance Procedure
- Improvements to Article 12, Hours of Work
- Improvements to Article 13, Work Assignments
- Improvements to Article 14, Force Adjustment
- Improvements to Article 15, Non-Discrimination
- Improvements to Article 16, Safety
- Improvements to Article 17, Company-Union Relationship
- Improvements to Article 18, Union Activities
- Improvements to Article 19, Basis of Compensation
- Changes to Article 21, Absences, that includes a minimum of one day in waiting for all employees
- Changes to Article 22, Vacations, that includes how employees receive payment for unused vacation when leaving the payroll.
- Improvements to Article 24, Excused Days with Pay
- Addition of an index to simplify locating the content of the Agreement
- A guarantee that the Retail Sales Consultants sales commission plan will pay no less than $12,500 per year upon 100% achievement of performance targets
- Addition of a third break for four (4) day by ten (10) hour schedules
- Memorialized Expedited Arbitration Resolution Process
- Disciplinary quota relief in 8 hour increments for Vacation, training and Union absence
- All provisions of the tentative agreement, except the upgrades, are retroactive to February 25, 2012.
