District 3/ATT Mobility Bargaining - Report #4
Your Mobility Bargaining committee met yesterday late afternoon to continue discussions. We did not have any new proposals but did question some of those previously passed by the company concerning eliminating Illness absence pay and gutting of the Short Term disability eligibility.
The Company rejected Union proposals on Management Rights, the Commission Plan, Waiver of Rights, Time Worked, National Committees, a National benefit coordinator, Subcontracting, and a penalty for the company not meeting time lines. The company also rejected Union proposals on scheduling, hours of work, safety, and force adjustment.
The company passed a counter proposal on Article 15, Discrimination. And a new proposal on Article 23-Holidays
We asked for explanations on their rejections and received very little other than it did not fit their “business model”.
We recessed to review the data provided as well as prepare a few more proposals.
We met again this morning and reached a tentative agreement (T/A) on Article 1, and Article 15. We then passed revised proposals on Article 12 (Hours of Work), 14 (Force adjustment) and 16 (Safety).
The Union rejected company proposals on Absence and the STD plan.
The company then passed a disgusting proposal on the Pension Plan for current and new Hires. The company then rejected Union proposals on Article 19 (Basis of Pay), and 21 (Absences).
We recessed to review and respond to the company.
We met again this afternoon for continued discussion.
The Union passed revised proposals on Article 19 and 21 and passed a new one on surplus process.
The company tentatively agreed to our revised proposal on Safety.
