Johnson City Tennessee, Local 3871, and Century Link Telecommunications have reached an agreement on a new three (3) year Working Agreement.
The New Agreement provides the following:
* New Vacation accrual sooner in the 10 to 15 year and 20 to 25 year time frames.
* The $25,200.00 base SIPP offer, a possible enhanced termination allowance payment now with no service or age restrictions.
* Wage increase of 2.5% the first year. 2.5% the second year, and 2.5% the third year.
* Right to Arbitrate Modify job changes.
* After 13 years of service STD will be paid at 100% for 26 weeks.
* Consolidation of the job titles Radio Tech and Central Office Tech with language on training time.
* Maintained all overtime language and Safety Glasses as well as Boot Allowance language.
The membership voted overwhelmingly to accept this new agreement.
The bargaining team of Jeff Sluss,Travis Campbell, along with President Mark Horton, and Office Manager Susan Williams, did an outstanding job in representing their members.
I want to express my appreciation for their work and all they did to reach this new agreement.
