Local 3204 - May 28, 2015 Rally

Local 3204 held a rally at the at&t Mobility Store in Buford, Georgia on Thursday May 28,2015 because the company discriminated against an employee due to him having Diabetes. The employee asked to be excused from work to go to the hospital, however his manager refused. He went to the hospital immediately after work and was admitted 4 days with 2 spent in the ICU. He nearly lost his life due to AT&T failing to excuse him from work. Upon his return to work he was terminated for his attendance. The company could have waived the 4 days absence giving the circumstances and chose not to.

A Contract Explanation meeting was held Sunday, May 17th near Baltimore, MD for Local Presidents from around the country. The team reviewed, in detail, every change in the Tentative Agreement and answered questions from the Locals in preparation for the ratification vote.

AT&T Legacy T Bargaining Report #41 - Tentative Agreement (TA) Reached

After over two months of bargaining we have reached a Tentative Agreement (TA) at the Legacy T table. The team feels we were able to beat back the majority of the Company?s retrogressive demands. While there are increases in the cost of Health Care, they are much less than the Company originally demanded and we have added an option with lower premiums. We negotiated wage increases that will more than cover those costs and give our members significantly more money in their pockets during the life of this agreement. Rather than the pension freeze the Company wanted, we got a pension increase and maintained and improved our job security language.

I received a call from Jimmy?s son, Mike Dodson, in September, 2014, asking if I would help celebrate his dad?s upcoming 90th birthday by writing a letter from CWA, Local 3907 thanking his dad for his many years of service to the phone company and for his loyal support of the union.
